Method Hockey Day Camp Protocol!

Campers will be split into groups. Each groups will include the same group members each day. Also, the staff providers will remain with the same group everyday.

Method staff will do its best to keep day campers who want to be in the same group for the week together but cannot guarantee this will happen.

Method staff will adhere to social distancing recommendations of six feet. Also all staff will wear masks throughout the day.

Day campers are not required to wear a mask, but they may if they choose to.

Each group will be kept in a separate area throughout the day.  Method will do the best it can to not have groups come into contact with other groups throughout the day. By staggering Method Facility time, and outdoor activity times, we will limit the “mixing of campers”. Each group will have staggered arrival and pick up windows. To avoid large groups all arriving at the same time. Upon arrival, the day camper will receive daily temperature checks with a non-touch thermometer.

Also, must be able to answer 2 screening questions in advance with their waiver form.

Have you had Covid 19?

Have you been in contact with someone that has had the virus?

If at any time the day camper fails the temperature check or fails to answer the screening question, they will be asked to leave.

Curbside drop off will be available, to limit direct contact between parents and staff members and adhere to social distancing recommendations of six feet during this time.

Hand hygiene station is set up at the entrance of our facility.  Also a hand wash station will be available in the restroom. Also, hand sanitizer will be available throughout the facility. Players will be encouraged to wash and clean their hands throughout the day.

Areas of the Method facility that are used will be disinfected after the group has used the area, and before the next group enters.

Each group will have their own dressing room.  Dressing rooms will be visibly marked with 6 foot areas for the players to change.

Parents are not permitted in the Method facility at any time.  Please drop off and pick up at the designated times.

Appropriate signage will be provided around the facility with reminders to keep good hygiene, and aby by social distancing guidelines of 6 feet.  Markings for safe spaces will also be present around the skating treadmill, Rapid Shots, and synthetic rink.

Ideally, the same parent or designated person should drop off and pick up the child every day. If possible, older people such as grandparents or those with serious underlying medical conditions should not pick up children, because they are more at risk.

All participants will be required to sign Methods’ new waiver before they arrive at the facility. This can be found on our website. Players may not participate without the waiver signed.

Have a Labeled water bottle with your name.

Players will arrive with their own packed lunch. They will not be able to share or trade food during the day.

If possible, please send your camper with their own hand sanitizer for use during the day.
